Obesity is an excess of body fat as a result of an imbalance between the intake and expending of calories. It is estimated that 115 million people in this group will develop serious illnesses, the overwhelming increase in type 2 diabetes and asthma are examples of this. In addition, a recent study has demonstrated that obesity has worse effects on health than tobacco or alcohol. The increase of chronic ailments due to obesity is similar to that of aging 20 years.
